Joy of Journaling
When the word "Journaling" is mentioned, many common question arise. "Journaling? What is that? You mean I need to purchase a book and write? I am not a writer so what do I write everyday? Are there any real benefits?" Journaling is a very interesting expedition which has more benefits than we ever dream off in reality.
My journal writing goes way back to my childhood days whereby I used to write in a diary every other day. It all started with me writing one or two sentences describing a specific experience and lesson for the day. As days passed by, I started writing more sentences which became paragraphs and eventually went on to few pages. However, at that tender age I did not know anything about Journaling but now knowing about it gives me greater joy in writing.
The practice of writing my Journal on a daily basis made me experience and improve my body, mind and soul. Journaling helps to connect our souls, brings a discipline in our lives, improves our mental health, increases Self-Awareness, helps to calm our mind and on the whole makes us patient. For anyone who has passion for writing, Journaling is definitely a first choice to improve one's writing skills and expressions of their thoughts and emotions freely. When a writer feels low, he or she would look back at all the written pages and the images of the events come to their mind so vividly and emotions recharge their feelings. Eventually, our very own written Journals will start uplifting our souls like Magic and Results will be witnessed as well.
Journaling allows us to go within very deep. Each time writers reflect on their day and experiences, they re-live those moments and to write them in details with such great emotions is breathtaking. Every word jotted down comes with a flow and the lessons gained will be more solid. While somethings happens, one becomes an observer and the individuals mind and heart goes through a process to pick up and record the moment. However, when they rewind and play the moments once again through their memory, it is done consciously and mindfully. The writers become a story teller of their own journey. Therefore, that is when the writers learn that "Reflections written with Emotions set in Deep Gratitude". Those positive vibrations reach out to The Universe and in return we receive the blessings. Hence, it is important for a Journal writer to remember to always end their writings positively.
Journaling reminds us that everyday is a learning curve and each day we will find some great insights which comes from various directions. Being in silence for couple of hours and being in the presence with Mother Natures obviously helps writers to listen to their inner voice very clearly. In addition, the silence gives space for a writer to think, analyse, have some personal discoveries and self-awareness. Furthermore, writing Journals continuosly creates a personal space mentally, becomes a pushing factor to look at life with a bigger picture, allows one to be more courageous and a writer's visions are continuously created with positive vibrations.
On a personal note, no matter what challenging situations come by, I have learned to be more optimistic, open minded, consistently repeating the magic word, "Thank You" for every little thing in life and that gratitude is what builds me to strive and achieve my dreams to greater heights. As a Journal writer, I believe that we need to have a balance of energy and create the lifestyle we want in order to write our thoughts very authentically and without interuptions. When we have a variety of activities or situations, we never run out of ideas to write as there is so much to write about in life.
Journaling has helped me to look at my life in a significant way. My personal visions and goals have become much clearer. I have learned to say "no" instead of saying "yes" for everything. It is through the ongoing writing of my Journal, I am re-discovering me and my dreams. Lastly, Journaling has given me such clarity of mind which derives from within simply because I have quite a bit of my "Me-Time" and that silence makes me face my own reflections. All the Angels and Demons exist within us. Hence, I will continue writing as nothing gives me greater joy and opportunity to go within me other than writing my journal. Transformation happens through Journal Writing.
Anna Frank once said, "I can shake off everything as I write; my sorrows disappear, my courage is reborn."
Well said meena akka.Journaling is the act of writing down our inner thoughts and feelings. It's a beautiful release to help you when you're feeling down, confused, or conflicted as you explore your emotions. I had a very good experience from this journal writting. As with any habit, getting started can be difficult. A blank page can be challenging and overwhelming.
